Woodpecker Timber Framing is a full-service mass timber and heavy timber contractor based in Canmore, Alberta. We work across residential, commercial, and institutional projects throughout North America, providing complete timber structures from concept through installation.
Unlike traditional suppliers, Woodpecker operates as a one-stop shop. Our in-house team manages drafting, 3D modeling, engineering coordination, surveying, project planning, fabrication, and erection — allowing tighter tolerances, clearer communication, and predictable schedules.
Our shop features a Hundegger ROBOT-Drive CNC capable of producing complex joinery and precision mass timber components directly from digital models. We manufacture structural timber frames, glulam structures, and full mass timber packages including CLT wall, floor, and roof systems for faster installation, reduced waste, and improved accuracy.
Supporting the technology is an experienced timber framing crew, including craftspeople trained in traditional European methods. When projects require heritage detailing or unique site conditions, we hand-cut precision joinery and select the appropriate method — digital or handcrafted — while maintaining structural performance and architectural intent.
We regularly supply complete structural packages including post-and-beam frames, hybrid structures, prefabricated assemblies, and exposed interior mass timber finishes, and our installation crews ensure the design intent carries through to the finished building.
Woodpecker has experience with high-performance and sustainable projects targeting advanced environmental standards.
